Great Art Deco Armoire from France, circa 1930.
Curved front doors with wonderful Amboyna Roots veneer and original brass fittings and key. Some parts are lacquered in black, the sides are also amboyna veneered.
Excellent lacquer work, coated with clear and black piano lacquer and polished.
Inside, it has four adjustable black shelf plates with inlay bands at the front sides.
The armoire can be completely dismantled (top, Botton, 2 side, 2 doors) for transport. The doors are mounted with a special mechanism of joints being pulled down and pushed up. (see photos).
The cap of one side of the rod lock is broken and could be welded on. But it still closes and locks with just one side (bottom).
With at the top is 125 cm, at the legs it is 142 cm
