Hand-built in France in the early 1800s, the rectangular tabletop sits atop a deep storage compartment, originally used for storing rising dough, raised upon a sturdy frame. The trapezoid shape of the compartment creates a unique silhouette; the contour of the column legs adds a note of elegance, while broad stretcher blocks evoke solidity and strength.
