Vintage Design
The tilting mirror is topped by a bronze ribbon swag. The mirror glass is a new replacement. Upon replacing, it revealed a sheet of a Parisian newspaper behind the original mirror. This very likely would have been put there upon manufacture, dating the table to 1921. I have preserved this for the buyer for interest.
Structurally sound with no damage, the dressing table shows some minor knocks with age to the brass. One of the castors has seized with no movement, but the table is still easily moveable. The mirror uprights have two holes to each side, presumably there was extra brass work to the sides at one time.
The onyx top shows some scratch marks and a few knocks to the underside of the back. Please refer to the photographs. The back of the mirror is original and has delaminated. This is not on show.
Additional dimensions information:
The onyx height is 79cm. The kneehole is 68cm high.
