An unusual campaign style travelling bookcase dating to the early 20th century.
Made of pine and mixed woods the bookcase looks to have been fashioned from an old campaign trunk and is fitted internally with eight removable shelves which are perfect for stowing away a treasured book collection or perhaps for use as a small bar.
The bookcase has recessed brass handles and brass latches to hold it closed. The base is set on several small old mismatched castors which allow it to be wheeled around on the floor.
The bookcase has an old red painted finish which has a lot of character.
