Contemporary Design
Brittany-based Miltonpriest is an artisanal design and manufacturing studio that specializes in handmade furniture and objects. Led by English designer Frank Maximilian, the studio brings together traditional craft processes and local materials to create informal furnishings with a poetic flair.
The Communuaté Tableis aptly named for the gatherings that take place around it. The construction method pays homage toBurt Mulgrew, an Irish immigrant riveter, who worked in the shipyards of Liverpool during the 1890s.
The Communuaté Table is made with formed sheet metal and locally sourced European solid oak, which together provide a sturdy structure to support the Silestone® top—a material commonly used for kitchen work surfaces. Each table is enriched with hand-buffed, copper-plated hardware.
