Vintage Design
This elegant sofa from the Mid Century Modern was designed in the 1950s by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen and manufactured in Denmark by France and Daverkosen. The simple, minimalist design from the Minerva series is a wonderful example of Scandinavian design and Danish craft skills. This version is the smaller variant made of solid teak worked with a backrest that is attached to two chrome holders. The original spring cushion was covered with new foam and newly moved into with high -quality fabric from Sahco / Kvadrat. The upholstery is located on the typical, rubberized spring belts. The wedge-shaped backrest lies loosely and is supported by the teak frame. Due to the beautiful backrest, the sofa can also be freely placed in the room.
The wooden frame and the chrome parts only have slight signs of wear in the form of small scratches and consolidations. The wooden parts were revised. The pillows have been renewed and newly moved into. The rubberized brown feather belts under the pillow was replaced by new, black straps. Overall, the sofa is in a very nice condition.
