These two chairs, nearly identical other than handmade idiosyncrasies, are most unusual. Clearly handmade, the hand made pegs are prominent. Each back and side spindle is pegged, as are the four legs to the seat. These are of unknown provenance, but it seems probable they were crafted by a countryman in the late 1800s /early 1900s They are sturdy and well made and show ample signs of wear which only add to the rustic nature of these chairs.
