Late 20th Century Vintage Lacquered Lowboy

We named him Hugo! Hugo is a glorious big lowboy dresser, or perhaps a buffet. This is our first piece in our satin 2k lacquer. Hugo has 6 large wide drawers. Gorgeous new brushed brass hardware. These are very substantial and a perfect match to the satin finish. The color is Hague Blue No30 from Farrow & Ball.

FINISH:
We finish our pieces in a fully catalyzed (2k high) satin lacquer. The process includes 6-8 layers of primer and color. We add a catalyst product at each step to enhance durability. The color is Hague Blue from Farrow & Ball.

CONDITION:
It features solid wood construction. Each drawer box is dovetail jointed and slides smoothly. We’ve added small adjustable feet to ensure you can keep the piece level. This will be important to ensure Hugo’s drawers continue to work well. This piece is fully refurbished and in excellent condition.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Like with any new piece of furniture, the finish will endure for many more generations with proper care. Use coasters and protective feet to preserve and prevent scratches, excess moisture, heat or chemicals from damaging the finish. Dust often and use a very mild soap and soft sponge for any necessary spills. Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
