Mid 20th Century Vintage French Boulangerie Proofing Basket

Imported from France. Used in a boulangerie (bakery) for proofing dough for baguettes. Originally created with a linen liner. Beautifully handwoven with an over-looped edge.

The basket measures about 14 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep.
