Vintage Design
Very rare and important lounge chairs, model Konsert, designed by the grandfather of Swedish design, Carl Malmsten, for Stockholms Konserthus (Stockholm Concert Hall) in 1923. An early piece in his production. The concert hall was designed by Swedish architect Ivar Tengbom and was inaugurated in 1926. These particular examples was part of the original interior of the concert hall and has never been in serial production. Possibly reupholstered at a later stage by the concert hall themselves in red velvet according to the original fabric. Legs made of stained birch. They are preserved in a very good condition with very light wear with age taken into account.
